Somalia&#8217;s history of conflict and instability has left many people including youth and women without knowledge and skills needed to effectively manage disputes or engage in constructive dialogue. This program addresses that gap by taking one cohort each year, equipping with the tools, perspectives and practices required to promote non-violent solutions, mutual understanding and community resilience. The objectives of this program includes increasing knowledge and understanding of peace building principles and conflict resolution strategies, strengthen the capacity of youth, women and civil society actors to mediate disputes, and foster reconciliation, and to promote values for tolerance, inclusivity and civil responsibility. <br \/>The program combines formal training sessions, participatory workshops, role-playing exercises, and peer-to-peer learning, and participants are introduced to concepts such as conflict analysis, negotiation techniques, human rights, democratic participation and social cohesion. Emphasis is placed on practical application, encouraging participants to design community-level peace initiatives. <br \/>Graduates of the Peace Education Training are expected to become peace ambassadors, capable of mediating conflicts, promoting dialogue and strengthening social cohesion in their communities.
